Everywhere We Kissed - by K.D. DeFehr

In the moonlight,

caught in headlights,

under perfect raindrops and falling snow.

On rocky beach shores,

blanketed wood floors,

and in the kitchen, on tippy toes.

My first truck,

in the front seat.

Your first truck,

wedged between trees.

And every Sunday morning,

my lips on your neck while you’re still snoring.

Entwined in a tangle of covers and sheets,

then on the front porch wishing

that you wouldn’t leave.
